Established in 1976, Gordon Diesel Services Ltd was exclusively a Diesel Engine servicing company doing work mainly for SSE. The company grew its engineering capabilities over the years initially at Rigs Road, Stornoway and latterly at Seaforth Road, Stornoway.

 

Along with engineering, the company developed a plastic products business mainly to serve the fishing industry www.stornowayplastics.com  The Company develops plastic products in house and can take a product from concept through to manufacture on their 3 injection moulding machines. All the tooling for the products is produced in our engineering workshop.

 

In 1984, Gordon Diesel Services Ltd setup and still operate the Filling Station, Post Office and Convenience Store at Back, Isle of Lewis.  This facility has grown over the years into a busy village hub that includes a Hairdresser, Retail outlet and Garage.
